Can I send my clothing to ReCircled?

At the moment we work directly with brands.

If I have clothing that I want to put back into the circular economy, what should I do?

Look at each garment or accessory, then look up the brand and see if they have a take back program. If not, there are many online or physical store that will resale your item if it is in good shape. If not, consider giving to a charity.

How is the cleaning done at ReCircled?

In most cases we try to use CO2 cleaning. This is uses the least amount of water and is the future of all commercial cleaning. In some cases we do need to use traditional cleaning methods.

What kind of energy is used at ReCircled Factories?

With our new buildings we only use renewable energy. In existing buildings that we rehab, we move to renewable at the soonest date possible.

If I have a small brand will ReCircled work with me?

YES! We are big believers in the circular economy and we need to be the infrastructure that insures most clothing is recycled and does not go to landfills. See the information on the footer of this site and we can start the conversation.

What product categories does ReCircled work with?

Currently we work will all apparel, accessories and some footwear.   This includes Outerwear, sweaters, shirts both woven and knits, bottoms and dresses.  Accessories include all types of bags, scarves and neckties.  At the moment, we are only taking shoes that have little-to-no wear. We do not accept any kind of undergarments at the moment.

How can brands track garments through ReCircled's process?

When goods are in refurbish work and/or being staged for sale, the brands own the products throughout the entire cycle.  When sorting, ReCircled adds a barcode ticket to each garment which then follows the movement of the garment and can be accounted for at anytime in the process.  In real time, we can give all information to a brand concerning the status of their products and where they are at in the system.

Who bears the expense for photos?

ReCircled handles all of the costs to get a product ready for resale.  This includes sorting, cleaning, repair, and photography. The only cost for the brand is any packaging that will be required to ship the item to the customer.

Does the brand get to style or sign off on photos?

We build a resale website for each brand.  Although the website will not be an exact replicate of their current e-commerce site, we will duplicate fonts, colors and use their lifestyle photography. ReCircled has a standard for all product photography which will be shown to each brand before anything goes on their site

Who controls marketing efforts for preowned?

ReCircled invests to get the products ready for resale, and the brand is then responsible for marketing their preowned products and site.

How long will ReCircled hold product for?

Are there storage fees? What happens if it doesn’t sell? ReCircled will work with each brand to develop a plan which keeps every item at the highest value.

Does the cleaning process exterminate bugs, bacteria, and/or viruses?

ReCircled uses a CO2 Cleaning system which has proven to be the best cleaning solution for Cleanroom Laundry.  A cleanroom laundry is a laundry dedicated to washing garments and accessories worn in a cleanroom environment (pharmaceutical and biotechnology-related manufacturing; semi‐conductor, wafer and other sensitive electronics manufacturing; aerospace; medical devices; etc.). Cleanroom laundries are bound to strict cleaning standards and rigorous quality control mechanisms. Highly trained staff monitors these control mechanisms as part of an ongoing quality assurance system.

For each brand we will develop an Eco-Friendly packaging system.  ReCircled works with several packaging companies.
